A new website for Omaha's biggest event center

Project Overview

The Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority (MECA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that builds and manages public event venues in Omaha, Nebraska.

MECA, managers of the CHI Health Center, came to JM Online with an outdated website that lacked functionality. We designed and developed a new website for the CHI Health Center that’s graphics/image-focused with unique layouts and minimal text. This project focused on the following top 3 priorities:

  1. The website needs to have a consistent look and feel that’s cohesive with MECA’s other websites.
  2. To increase user engagement and conversion, the navigation needed to be clean, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly.
  3. Strategically build and develop the website to achieve a load time of 3 seconds or less for its thousands of daily visitors.

Papio-Missouri River NRD came to JM Online for a custom design that’s wrapped in a WordPress content management system (CMS). Beyond the simplistic and mobile-friendly design, we developed custom features for archiving meeting minutes and files, as well as a real-time notification system for bids and proposals.

Lift Up Sarpy County

A new web design with a unique menu

Lift Up Sarpy County was looking for an easier-to-edit content management system (CMS) as the current site, on Wix, was difficult to manage. They also wanted their website’s main navigation to be more intuitive. With a new web design on WordPress, we improved the usefulness of the navigation, calendar, and blog. We also custom-coded password-protected portals.

Giving levity to a site with lots of content

Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare serves as an informational resource to the State of Nebraska. Therefore, they have a lot of content to feature on the website. We focused on using big images, branded icons, and a custom map to mitigate content overload.
